He enlisted on July 6, 1940 and served with the 8th Princess Louise’s (New Brunswick) Hussars in the United Kingdom and Italy. SergeantWatkins was killed in Italy by a sniper as he was directing his tank on September 13, 1944. He is buried in the Gradara War Cemetery. For his service, he received the 1939-1945 Star, Italy Star, Defence Medal, War Medal 1939-1945 and the CVSM and clasp. He enlisted on November 9th, 1942 and served with the 8th Field Park Company, Royal Canadian Engineers in the United Kingdom and France. Sapper Watson died in Normandy on August 5th, 1944 from wounds he received on July 26th, 1944. He is buried in the Beny-sur-Mer CanadianWar Cemetery. For his service, he received the 1939-1945 Star, France and Germany Star, Defence Medal, War Medal 1939-1945 and the CVSM and clasp. Peter est né à East Bathurst, au N.-B., le 12 novembre 1918. He enlisted on September 2, 1941 and served with the Carleton and York Regiment in the United Kingdom and Italy. Lieutenant Weatherhead died in Italy on December 15, 1943. He is buried in the Moro River Canadian War Cemetery. For his service, he received the 1939-1945 Star, Italy Star, Defence Medal, War Medal 1939-1945 and the CVSM and clasp.
