He enlisted in the Army in Saint John, NB on January 24, 1942 and served with the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry, RCIC. Pte MacCallum died of wounds received at war on December 5, 1944 in Holland. He is buried at the Groesbeek CanadianWar Cemetery in the Netherlands. For his service, he was awarded the 1939-1945 Star, France and Germany Star, War Medal 1939-1945 and the CVSM and Clasp. He enlisted in the Army in 1942 and served with Carleton and York Regiment in Germany and Continental Europe. He was discharged after the war ended and went on to marry Patricia Hovey. For his service, he was awarded the CVSM, Defence Medal, France and Germany Star and the Victory Medal. He passed away in 2008.
