He enlisted on February 5, 1942 and served with the Carleton andYork Regiment in the United Kingdom and Italy. Lieutenant Dibblee was killed by intense machine gun fire, while leading his men to attack the German defences in Gambatesa, Italy on October 7, 1943. He served in the Air Force with 401 Fighter Squadron, Royal Canadian Air Force in the UK and Canada. Sgt Dickinson was accidentally killed on May 15, 1943 when his aircraft crashed during a landing at RCAF Station in Rockcliffe, ON. He is buried in the Hartland (Greenwood) Cemetery. He enlisted on June 25, 1940 and served with the Carleton and York Regiment in the United Kingdom and Italy.Corporal Dickinson was killed in action in Italy on May 20, 1944 during the advance towards the Hitler line. He is buried in the Cassino War Cemetery. For his service, he received the 1939-1945 Star, Italy Star, Defence Medal, War Medal 1939-1945 and the CVSM and clasp.
